Dr. Matthew McClean graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2000. In addition to his chiropractic doctorate, he holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Brigham Young University. He is certified in medical acupuncture and has been incoporating it into the care of his patients for over a decade. Along with chiropractic and acupuncture, Dr. Matt focuses on the use of spinal stabilization, homeopathics, nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle to give the patient a well rounded treatment. He uses McKenzie physical therapy regularly and empowers the patient with "take home" exercises.
Dr. Matt is married with five beautiful children. They enjoy hiking and camping together as a family. Dr. Matt has volunteered in the community with the Boy Scouts of America for 12 years. He is currently a unit commissioner.
Dr. Matt and his wife, Amy McClean, are known for their work with naturally leavened bread. They completed a commercial kitchen in the basement of the clinic in 2009. The kitchen is now home to Dr. Dough, a frozen natuarlly leavened bread dough, sold exclusively through Dr. Matthew McClean at McClean Clinic. Dr. Matt and Amy also teach a two-part series of classes on Natural Leaven. They recently started a website, naturalleavening.com, and a blog. They are currently writing a book on their research, recipes, and experience with Natural Leaven over the past 7 years.
